I came to Aspen in 1972 as an avid sailor and ocean lover from
the East Coast. It was a bold change, but I just seemed to know
that I had found my home. After moving to Aspen, I got
married, created a family, cultivated friends, progressed
professionally, became involved in the community, and dedicated
a significant amount of time to volunteer work. I pursued a
business career by day and spent many nights on the ice as a
volunteer hockey coach and mentor.
My family and I moved to Mountain Valley, the quiet side of
Aspen, in 1989. I became involved as a homeowner, and was
instrumental in the new zoning and additional floor area ratio
that came about in the early 90s. Feeling I needed to do my
part, I joined the Mountain Valley Homeowners Board.

Deborah moved to Aspen with her daughter
Adelaide in 2013, and to Mountain Valley in 2015. She has
a son and daughter, Sinclair and Margaux, who are no longer
living at home. Deborah pursued a BFA in Environmental
Design from Parsons School of Design in Paris, France after

mineral management, a far cry from the arts.
After being involved in several non profit organizations in the
Princeton area, including serving on the Lawerence Township
Conservation Foundation Board and the Lawrence Township Historic
Preservation Committee, Deborah is interested in becoming more
involved in this community. At the top of her list of
